Today in Bluejay History (1/19)

January 19, 2008 — The fifth largest crowd in Creighton history sees Booker Woodfox and the Bluejays blow out Indiana State.

Woodfox hit 6 3-pointers, tying Kellen Miliner for the most long-range makes by a Bluejay at the Qwest Center, and Creighton shot 57% for the game en route to an 86-69 win. Woodfox scored 20 points, while Cavel Witter went 11-13 from the free throw line to lead all CU scorers with 21 points.

17,371 turned out to welcome Indiana State head coach Kevin McKenna back to Omaha, where he starred as a player for the Bluejays and a coach for Creighton and UNO. McKenna’s first Sycamores team would lose to the Jays for the first time, having beaten the Bluejays back in Terre Haute a few weeks prior.
