Today in Bluejay History (12/15)

December 15, 2008 — P’Allen Stinnett swipes 7 steals against Southern, tied for the third highest single game total in Creighton history.

Stinnett recorded the 7 steals during a 71-60 win. The school record belongs to Michael Johnson, who snagged 9 steals in a 1981 game against St. Joe’s. Latrell Wrightsell recorded 8 steals twice — in the same season (1991) against the same opponent (Drake).

Stinnett joins Charles Butler (1974 vs. Wake Forest), Vernon Moore (1985 vs. Southern), James Farr (1987 vs. Iowa State), Rodney Buford (1996 vs. UMKC; 1998 vs. Missouri State), Anthony Tolliver (2006 vs. Evansville), and Johnny Mathies (2006 vs. Indiana State) as the next Bluejays on the single-game steals list.
