Today in Bluejay History (2/16)

February 16, 1984 — Benoit Benjamin records the first triple-double in Creighton Bluejays history.

Benjamin scored 24 points, grabbed 17 boards, and blocked 11 shots against #12 Tulsa. But despite his exploits and pushing the Golden Hurricane to overtime, the Bluejays couldn’t put Tulsa away. Creighton dropped the game 82-80, CU’s fourth straight loss.

Less than a month later, the Jays would again push Tulsa to the brink only to lose another 2-point game, 70-68.
