Today in Bluejay History (2/2)

February 2, 1985 — Creighton’s last triple-double occurs.

Benoit Benjamin leaves Peoria with 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 blocks in an overtime win against Bradley. Benjamin owns the only triple-double efforts in Creighton men’s basketball history, and this one came with the Bluejays in the midst of a 6-game winning streak. The 1984-1985 season would end in disarray, however, with CU dropping its last six games and finishing 20-12 after being 20-6 on Valentine’s Day.
