February 21, 2009 — Creighton hosts George Mason in the ESPNU BracketBusters event, playing in front of the fourth largest crowd in Bluejays history.
17,411 turned out to watch Booker Woodfox go 8-10 from the field and 5-6 from long range en route to a team-high 22 points in Creighton’s 76-63 victory over the Patriots.
The win marked the Bluejays’ 8th straight victory, and positioned them for an improved chance to secure an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. A bid, obviously, the Bluejays never received.
