Today in Bluejay History (4/21)

April 21, 1987 — Creighton’s softball team gets revenge against the Golden Gophers.

One year after hosting Minnesota and losing a doubleheader 3-2 and 2-0, Mary Higgins’ Bluejays travelled to the Twin Cities and put together two shutouts of the Gophers.

CU won the first game 6-0 and the second contest 9-0. The Jays would finish the season 34-13 but fall short of the NCAA Tournament.
