July 31, 2007 — Omaha native Lauren Larson tells the Omaha World-Herald she will accept a scholarship offer from coach Brent Vigness to play softball for the Bluejays.

Larson was a two-time first team All State selection at catcher for Millard North. She started 35 games in 2009 for Creighton as a freshman, committing just 1 error (fielding percentage of .995), and was in the starting lineup for Creighton’s final 25 games filling in admirably for senior Laura Kratochvil, who broke her leg with just over a month left in the season..
