The Panthers will be looking for just their second win all-time in Iowa City against Iowa. They are 1-21 when playing Iowa on the road with their only win coming four season ago. The Panthers already have a win over Iowa St. under their belt this season as they try to achieve the mythical state title (games against Drake coming up later in the season). Senior Kwadzo Ahelegbe has average 17.5 ppg over the last two, wins against Iowa St. and TCU.
Despite being the new man on the Iowa bench, Coach Fran McCaffery is familiar with UNI. As the coach at Siena, McCaffery’s team faced UNI each of the last two seasons. Ben Jacobson won’t have any surprises for him. Iowa is 3-1 at home this season.
