This match-up has trap game written all over it. Drake, playing at home, has won just a single game in their last five outings. All three of their conference wins have been at home. If Rayvonte Rice wants to win a newcomer of the week award, a big game by Rice and a big win by the Bulldogs would help his cause.
Missouri St., while tied for first place, is within a minute of losing their last two games. On paper, a mid-season conference game at Drake appears like an easy win. On the horizon is a rematch against game against a hot UNI team. Kyle Weems will need to carry the load again like he did against CU, 23 points on 11-17 shooting. Playing a rotation of just seven players, the minutes logged by Weems, Mallet, Leonard, and Ricks, they may be catching up to them.
