Illinois State (2-1) vs. South Dakota (1-2)

Illinois State will return home tonight after taking the road for the first time this season and falling to UALR 63-54.  Tonights match-up will be the opening match for the Redbirds in the 2010 Global Sports Roundball Classic.

The Coyotes of South Dakota will enter the game with a  1-2 record after suffering a loss to Marquette 82-69.  This will be the first meeting between the two schools and should be a W for the Valley squad.

Purdue (4-0) vs. Southern Illinois (2-2)

Sears Center; Chicago, IL

Chicago Invitational Challenge

The Salukis have picked up a pair of wins in the Chicago Invitational Challenge in the comforts of SIU Arena.  Now they travel to a neutral court to take on Purdue and head Coach Matt  Painter, former SIU head coach.  Purdue is lead by E’Twaun Moore and JaJuan Johnson.  With the injury to Robby Hummel, there is one less thing for the Salukis to worry about.

St. John’s (2-1) vs. Drake (2-1)

Great Alaska Shootout

In their opening game the Bulldogs defeated Southern Utah 78-59.  The man in the middle, Seth VanDeest, led Drake with 26 points.  Rayvonte Rice chipped in 15.  They face a tougher team in St. John’s.  The Red Storm dropped their opening game against St. Mary’s but rebounded by winning the next two over Columbia and Ball St.
