The Redbirds had a bit more of a game on their hands than I expected as they were only able to beat Louisiana-Monroe 59-55. Playing on their home court, you would have thought the Redbirds would have been able to handle LMU with a bit more ease. ISU-Red will wrap up the Global Sports Challenge today in Normal as they host the Gamecocks from Jacksonville State.
The Gamecocks will be coming off a 64-56 victory over South Dakota, and will look to play for the upset tonight. The way Illinois State has been playing lately, it could very well happen.
