Many Creighton basketball fans are counting down the days until Bluejay Madness, the annual fan-friendly event that takes place this Friday, October 12, at 8 p.m.
This year, WBR, CU Dining, and CU Athletics are partnering to turn Bluejay Madness into an even bigger party. We are hosting a beer garden outside Sokol Arena starting at 5:00 p.m. There will be food and drink for purchase, and WBR will be handing out free koozies. Doors open to the public at 7:15 p.m. for the 8:00 p.m. event.
Bluejay Madness marks the start of college hoops season. Coaches Greg McDermott and Jim Flanery will introduce their teams to Jays fans, who will also be treated to scrimmages by the men’s and women’s basketball teams, a three-point shooting contest, and a dunk contest among a few of the men’s players.
