The Creighton Bluejays women’s soccer team moved to 1-0-1 in 2009 with a weekend road win at South Dakota State.
The Bluejays received goals from junior Emily Orbell (1) and freshman Sarah Kendall (1). Five freshmen saw time against SDSU, including the second straight start for frosh Katie Murphy. Throw redshirt freshman Kat Wright into the mix, and a half dozen newbies saw time against the Jackrabbits.
The Bluejays look for the South Dakota Sweep this Friday (August 28) when they host the Coyotes from the University of South Dakota at Morrison Stadium (7 p.m.)..
