On Wednesday night, Marcus Zegarowski and the Bluejays played a complete forty minutes to take down Marquette in the Big East opener. Creighton fans held their collective breath in the first half when Zegarowski went down after a hard foul from Marquette’s Ed Morrow and his head hitting the court.
The good news is that Zegarowski got back up, hit the free throw to complete the 3-point play and continued on to help lead the Bluejays to victory. A day later, he still does not have any affects from the fall and the Bluejays are looking forward to Saturday’s matchup at Hinkle Fieldhouse and the ranked Butler Bulldogs.
Marcus sat down with WBR’s Matt DeMarinis for a conversation about the season so far, what he has learned since being at Creighton, the trust he has built with the team, toughness, and where the Bluejays are headed for the rest of the season.
