Photo Gallery: Creighton Has Gutwrenching Loss Against Marquette

Touch the ball.  Throw the ball off of someone.  Get fouled.  Do anything except for allowing Marquette one last chance.  Unfortunately, the Creighton basketball team gave the Golden Eagles that last chance with 0.8 seconds in regulation as Sam Hauser somehow got a shot off after Creighton turned it over to send it to overtime.  The Jays ended up losing 106-104 in a crazy game.

The Bluejays looked like they had things locked up with 0.8 seconds in regulation with the chance to inbound the ball to squeak out the hard fought win.  But instead a long pass to Martin Krampelj went untouched giving Marquette the chance underneath their own basket.  It was really unbelievable.

Overtime was hard fought, but Markus Howard had a game with a career and Big East high 53 points with seemingly everything going in for him with a Jays player in his face.

There were a lot of amazing things on the evening from Creighton with one example of Krampelj going 13-of-14 from the free throw line.  Davion Mintz played really tough defense and had some offense of his own with 21 points and Ty-Shon Alexander rebounded from his horrible game at Butler leading the Jays with 23 points.

WBR photographer Brad Williams was on hand for the crazy night.  Enjoy the slideshow gallery below and then head over to the WBR photo store to get the other shots from the game.
