October 7, 1939 — Creighton’s football team drops to 1-1 on the season with a 21-14 loss against Tulsa.

After starting the 1939 season with a 26-0 win against the Iowa State Teachers (aka Northern Iowa), the Bluejays would lose to Tulsa by a touchdown and then alternate wins and losses the next six weeks of the year. Heading into the final game of the season 4-4, the Bluejays would lose to the University of San Francisco 26-14.
