Today in Bluejay History (12/17)

December 17, 1973 — Ralph Bobik dishes 16 assists in a 99-86 win against BYU.

Bobik’s 16 assists are the second best single-game mark in school history, and he owns the other top performances as well. During his junior season, he dished 17 assists against St. Francis, and he repeated that total against Bradley during his senior season.

Bobik’s 252 assists during his senior season (1973-1974) still rank as Creighton’s all-time single-season record. He held the school’s all-time assists record for a career (549) until Ryan Sears came along and broke it (570).
