January 24, 2004 — Trailing Illinois State 30-27 at half, Creighton unleashes one of the best shooting performances in school and Missouri Valley Conference history en route to a 72-63 win.

After allowing the Redbirds to shoot 62% in the first half and take a 3-point lead into the locker room at halftime, Creighton comes out for the second 20 minutes and shoots 80% from the field. By making 16 of their 20 shot attempts, the Bluejays turn in the best half of shooting in school history, percentage-wise, and the 4th best in MVC history.

Kellen Miliner (15), Nate Funk (15), Brody Deren (12), and Mike Grimes (11) scored in double figures for the Jays.
