Today in Bluejay History (9/12)

September 12, 1999 — In just its second game of the season, the #6 Creighton men’s soccer team travels to Missouri and defeats #2 Saint Louis University 1-0. The Bluejays waited more than 89 excruciating minutes to take the lead, however.

With just 13 seconds left in the match, Todd Hammett knocked home a goal following a corner kick and assists by Danny Madrigal and Angel Rivillo. It was one of four shots on goal in the match for CU, compared to just one shot on goal for the Billikens.
