September 13, 2007 — Creighton’s men’s soccer team, ranked #16 in the country, captures a win against undefeated and #2 Indiana at the Saint Louis Nike Classic.

Tim Walters, a transfer from Kentucky and native of Saint Louis, scored the game-winning goal at the 63:30 mark. Not only did his goal give the Jays a win against a top five team, but it came against the Hoosiers program his father, Tim, played for from 1976-1979.

“What a nice homecoming for Tim Walters,” Bob Warming told GoCreighton.com. “It’s really special for Tim to be able to return here and play so well and score the game-winner.”

Warming notched his 350th win with the victory over Indiana.

“I’m really, really proud of how this team has continued to come together. We are such a young team and for us to continue to get better and play this well without Byron Dacy and losing as many guys to the pros as we did from last year, is just a great sign for this team.”
